The George Clinton Chapter was organized at the home of Elouisa F. King Nichols on January 30, 1896. The name of George Clinton was suggested and approved by the members.

George Clinton was a delegate to the Second Continental Congress, a Brigadier General of the Militia, seven times Governor of New York and Vice President of the United States, when, in 1810, Clinton County, Ohio was named for him.

Our Location

The chapter meets at the Clinton County Historical Society in Wilmington. Members reside in the communities of Wilmington, Sabina, Blanchester, Martinsville, Clarksville and rural areas of the County.

Our Meetings

Chapter meetings are held on the last Monday of the month, September to September inclusive. Luncheons are occasionally held on Saturdays.
