Jared Mansfield Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution was organized on March 8, 1919. Twenty-seven ladies became charter members of the chapter with Agnes Long (Mrs H L) Creveling assuming position of first regent. Current membership stands at over 80 with several more prospective members involved in the application process. Our chapter is named for Jared Mansfield (1759-1830) of Connecticut, Surveyor General of Ohio and the Northwest Territory (1803-1812) and after whom our town of Mansfield, Ohio, is named. Our current regent is Lillian Lehnhart (Mrs Thomas) Brumenskenkel, a descendant of Sgt. Benjamin Jackson, Sr., of New Jersey.
