The Molly Chittenden Chapter of the Ohio Society of the NSDAR was organized and chartered in 1912. Our name honors Molly Chittenden as nine of our twenty-three members were direct descendents of her. Both Molly's father Jared Chittendon and husband Caleb Fowler were Revolutionary War Soldiers. While Molly lived her life in Guilford Connecticut, her descendents by 1902 resided in Geauga County, Ohio. It was after many family reunions that some of her descendents decided to form a DAR chapter.
Our LocationMembers of our chapter reside in Cuyahoga and Geauga counties. Our MeetingsMeetings are held from September to June. We meet the third Saturday of the month except for December and June. For those two meetings we meet on the second Tuesday. Contact UsInterested in membership in the DAR? Please feel free to contact us via e-mail. |
